Official Decatur County Contacts
The Decatur County Sheriff's Office operates the county jail and is the first official contact for present local custody and jail-created booking material. Its published page says the office can be contacted 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No separate records-unit number, email, or counter hours were found.

P.O. Box 89
Oberlin, KS 67749
Phone and dispatch: 785-475-8100
Fax: 785-475-8160
Published contact availability: 24/7
The sheriff lists $10 for report copies but does not publish a separate price for a booking photograph. Under K.S.A. 45-219, other records work may carry reasonable actual-cost fees. Name the report and image separately, request an estimate, and do not assume the report-copy charge includes the photo.
Choose the route that matches the question:
- For a Decatur County booking sheet or photograph, use the sheriff contact above. The county booking-record page gives the full request path.
- For a recent Oberlin Police incident report, contact Oberlin Police at 107 W. Commercial, 785-475-2622, or use the city custodian at 1 Morgan Drive, 785-475-2217.
- For a current jail check, call sheriff/dispatch. Kansas VINE may provide participating adult county-jail status alerts, but it is not a court record or mugshot source.
- For a filed charge or final disposition, search Kansas District Court records and narrow the result to Decatur County. City ordinance matters may belong in Oberlin Municipal Court.
- For warrant concerns, follow the official sheriff and court routes described under Wanted Fugitives. A public docket is not a real-time warrant-clearance certificate.
- For a state-sentenced or supervised person, use the Kansas Department of Corrections KASPER search. It does not cover every local arrest or county detainee.
- For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons locator. For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
